Never before has so much knowledge been available, nor have there been so many highly educated researchers. At the same time, the world has become markedly more complex. Scientific research is no longer the exclusive domain of universities and public research institutes. Companies—both large and small—conduct research to develop better products and processes, often in close collaboration with suppliers, customers, and partners.
In addition, a broad landscape of private research organisations has emerged. And we should not overlook independent researchers, retirees, and emeritus professors who continue to acquire knowledge and actively contribute to scientific and societal debates. We are part of this highly educated ecosystem of knowledge-driven organisations.
Our work is embedded in long-standing collaborations with established institutions such as RIVM, Wageningen University & Research, TNO, and NIZO. In addition, we maintain historically deep ties with TOP and Food Technology Services.
We also collaborate closely with R&D departments of international companies such as Kraft Heinz, Cargill, and Unilever, as well as with R&D teams within high-tech small and medium-sized enterprises. These organisations are accustomed to project-based collaboration, participate in national and international research programmes, and are deeply engaged in practical, application-oriented innovation.
